In conjunction with Planetearth and International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) the United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have designated 2008 as the
"International Year of Planet Earth"
70 Mosaic Artists support PlanetEarth 2008
| At Opus Mosaic we feel that this initiative is of vital importance to all of us. We have therefore based the theme for our 2008 Mosaic Exhibition to highlight, encourage and support this project.
The Mosaic pieces for this exhibition are inspired by and commermorate the International Year of Planet Earth. There are 9 broad themes that have been highlighted by Planetearth for the year 2008. We now have 70 artists from around the world who have been creating some stunning and thought provoking mosaics for the exhibition.
A website version of the exhibition will be available for members of the public that can not get to Exeter to see the real Mosaics once the main exhibition is open. |
